How To Style A Floral Print Maxi Tube Dress?!

Hi, gorgeous people,

Most of you would have read my recent short story, Laya Krish. It was written for the first-of-its-kind collaboration event by CBC with Stylori. I would do a detailed post on the event experience before end of this week. Right now, I want to share the OOTD post from the day.

Most of you know that I am a freelance EmCee, I host mostly corporate events, but at times, I do fun events to. So, if you need a freelance MC, you now know who to contact 😛 But, yeah, CBC is like a family to me, and when the chance of co-emceeing the event came along, I was more than happy. I wanted to refrain to a simple skater dress, but then this happened.

What I Wore On A Kodai Trek? #KodaikanalDiaries

Hi, gorgeous people,

One year back, my friends and I went to Kodaikanal. It was an impromptu trip. Kay, Vee, and I went to some Tamil comedy movie in the end of June 2014, and suddenly, Kay and I started to convince Vee on how nice it is to go on a trip again! Yeah, we went to Goa in Feb month. Not even six months from the last trip, Vee was reluctant at first, and then somehow he got convinced *travel bug bit him you see* So, we were set to go to Kodaikanal as a weekend getaway. I will write the full story sometime soon as a blog post under Stri’s Travel Diaries section. Right now, let me tell you what I wore when we trekked hills in Kodaikanal.

Bold Gold and Subtle Dark Green Salwar Suit – Ethnic #8 – Being A Wedding Guest #1

Hi, gorgeous people,

Exactly after I came from my vacation, my best friend’s brother got engaged. Well, I had to attend it. I keep attending so many weddings that most of my acquaintances and colleagues ask me, “how many best friends do you have?” Well, quite a handful. That keeps me more than occupied. As it was not my friend’s but her brother’s engagement, I wanted to look gorgeous yet subtly. I didn’t want to be the center of attraction by being over dressed, but I can’t afford to go under dressed. After so many calls, whatsapp pings, and rants with her, I was still clueless. She got a nice silk saree for herself to wear 😛 That’s when mom came to my rescue with this long-last-yet-still-new salwar of mine.

Yay.... that's me! (new hair cut? Detailed post coming soon)

LAKME Lip Love Lip Care – Strawberry – Review

Hi, Gorgeous People,

Most of the times, I end up reviewing a product pretty late. For instance, I am reviewing this awesome lip care product after many months of its arrival. There are reasons for it; firstly, I prefer to use them extensively, empty them (at times) and then post a review, and secondly, I am held up with too many works these days. Anyway, here you go:

My Daily/Weekly Care Routine – Skin, Hair, Body, Lips, Eye, and Face

Hi, gorgeous people,

I was viewing video of an MUA’s skin care routine, and one of my colleagues suggested me to do the same. As my designated photo/videographer, my bro, is not in town (he is in Mumbai, he is a travel freak just like me 😛 ) I opted to do a blog post instead. I hope I would do a video next month, when we both are in town.

Here you go, the beauties:

Saree On A Sangeet Night – WEDDING DIARIES – BEING A BRIDESMAID #3 (ETHNIC LOOK #6)

Hi, gorgeous people,

After S’s wedding, it was her cousin and my close friend Kay’s wedding. While S was this playful, selfie-crazy, fun bride, Kay was organized, conscious, and matured bride. I loved them both equally. Now, dressing up for Kay’s wedding was quite easier for me as I was dressing up in my home. Also, Kay needed not much help or running around so that gave me so much time to concentrate on my looks. Anyway, here is what I wore on her Sangeet.

A Colorful Silk Saree For A Bright Morning Wedding – WEDDING DIARIES – BEING A BRIDESMAID #2 (ETHNIC LOOK #5)

Hi, gorgeous people,

Most of you would have seen my “Lehanga-Choli” look for S’s reception, if not, then see it here, right away. While I went completely northie for her reception, I opted a nice Kanchivaram Silk Saree for her wedding. It was nice, sunny morning wedding, so I preferred to go bright with the colors. Here is what I wore:

LEHANGA CHOLI – WEDDING DIARIES – BEING A BRIDESMAID #1 (ETHNIC LOOK #4)

Hi, gorgeous people,

So, yeah. Looks like I should start the wedding diaries too. Inspired from Bhusha’s Wedding OOTDs, I start with the wedding diaries. I have been a wedding guest in many occasions, but this was the first time I was a bridesmaid. Yeah, being a bridesmaid is a tough yet pretty job I tell you. When my bestie Swe decided to get hitched, we were all like “WOW, we are gonna be bridesmaids.” However, little did we know that being a bridesmaid is not just about being pretty. If I had to list my experiences of being a bridesmaid, that would take another whole post (psst! Will write one sooner). That being said, are you guys eager to see what I wore for the reception of her wedding? Take a look! Continue reading

CONTEMPORARY LOOK #2 – Shopping Spree

Hi, Gorgeous People,

Last Sunday, I went on a shopping spree with my sister and niece. Most of us won’t dress up well while we go for shopping, as we prefer comfort over fashion while shopping. Recently, I started dressing up for every outing I go as it makes me feel confident, and above it keeps me away from the stresses that Krish has been giving me (:P) So, excited to know how I managed comfort and fashion together on this look? Oh, wait, first have a look at the look.

Party Look #2 – What I wore for Sun TV Awards Show?

Hi, Gorgeous People,

I wanted to have a peaceful and calm weekend, but on Saturday, early in the morning, at 7:40 AM my best friend called to invite me to her company’s (Sun TV) award ceremony. It is similar to the awards shows by channels like Star Plus, etc. I initially wanted to turn down the offer, but finally accepted as I had no concrete reason to say No. As this was an impromptu party for me, I didn’t have much time to finalize my clothes, so I ended up wearing a saree that I wore on my sister’s house warming ceremony. Here, have a look:

Ethnic Look #2 – Cotton Kurta & Leggings!

Hi Gorgeous People!!

Here is the second entry to my StyleBook and yet again with an Ethnic Look. Recently I visited this excellent tourist resort called Dakshin Chitra, near MGM in ECR, Chennai. Since it was a long drive from home and also because it was an ethnic village resort I chose to go desi with Kurta and leggings. The whole outfit is simple and just not more than anything necessary. Here is a brief about the Outfit of the Day (OOTD) and please do share your thoughts on it.

Here is a look at the outfit, footwear, bindi, and earrings!

Ethnic Look #1 – Kerala Saree!

Hi Gorgeous People!!

Here goes the StyleBook – Yeah, my looks at various occasions and what I sported to get that look. I would be jotting down every minute detail possible so that if you like my look, you will know how to sport it! As soon as I started to have this idea, I thought why not write a traditional Look Book post as the first post thus I ended up writing this post. In this, I am sporting a Kerala Cotton Saree with complete traditional look for a simple function at my neighbor’s place.

The Dress!

Here take a look at me with the whole outfit

LAKME – SUNSCREEN (SPF 24 – PA++), AFTER SUN FACE WASH, AFTER SUN GEL – REVIEW

Hi Gorgeous People!!

The summer is too cruel, isn’t it? Damn, if there was any option at all I would definitely break-up with dear Sunny! Well, to protect ourselves from the harmful radiations of the sun we need to be well equipped and properly armed, that’s where the sunscreen, after sun face wash, and gel comes into the scene. I kind of equipped myself in prior with these 3 LAKME goodies by the month of March itself. In places like mine (Chennai) it is mostly summer only. I use these products for the past 2-3 years during summer (March – June). Continue reading
