Yup, there is such a delay with the letter C, but here it goes – Croyance.
Croyance means Belief. Quoting Wikipedia, “Belief is the state of mind in which a person thinks something to be the case with or without there being empirical evidence to prove that something is the case with factual certainty.”
Belief is such a curious concept. All through my childhood, I thought when I believe in something, it’s always true. Ah, but the reality is belief is more often hypothesis than thesis.
Moving on, here’s a sentence with the word Croyance.
Sa croyance religieuse diffère beaucoup de celle de sa mère.
Her religious belief differs a lot from her mom’s.
Oh yes, Croyance takes feminine form. Women are born believers. Bleak! Just kidding. I hardly have unconditional beliefs on anything these days that includes human beings as well.
Ok cynical mode off, romantic writer mode on – story time!
“Honey, we never got to discuss about something. What are our religious beliefs?”
“I religiously believe in you. For once, I am a theist,” she replied.
