Scare The Daylights Out Of Someone – AToZ Challenge 2014 – Day19

Hi Folks,

#AtoZChallenge - Idioms - @Sri_Indrasenan
A Guessing Game!

Next few days went without much chaos and Keshav was busy with an out station case that he was travelling to and fro Vellore and Chennai often. Laya was also busy with her patients and apart from occasional calls and messages there was not much communication between them.

That evening when Laya came to her house her mother was sitting with another lady of her same age. They seemed to be absolutely enjoying and laughing out loud. It has been really long that she had seen her mom this happy.

“Hey mom”

“Laya, sit down. Do you remember Kalpana Aunty? I used to tell you often about.”

“Yes, your best friend from school.”

“This is Kalpana” she pointed the 50 something charismatic lady who was looking charming in her black cotton saree.

“Hello Aunty, mom talks a lot about you” Laya said.

“Hope all those talks are positive and good.”

Laya smiled and said, “of course”

As Laya was about to leave to her room Kalpana said something to her mom which scared the daylights out of her.

Kalpana said, “I should be lucky to have such a good looking, well mannered, and educated girl as my daughter in law.”

To be continued…. If you have missed the prequels then do read it from here.

Love & Cheers,

I am S(t)ri
