As Keshav gave the revolver to Pooja, he went on his knees and pulled out a bunch of lavender orchids and said, “Marry me, Laya”.
Laya was perplexed and stupefied; she gazed around to see that the private beach was illuminated with candles and a lovely dinner table was set up. She couldn’t react; the light from the purple candle holders illuminated her face which was already turning red because of blushing.
She choked in happiness, it is a once in lifetime opportunity to choke in happiness! She stammered as she said, “Kee-shhavv”. She moved forward and hugged him, yeah it was an awkward hug (not the pretty ones that are shown between the lead characters in the movies) but it was so truthful and realistic.
“Is it a yes?” asked Keshav.
“Should I say?”
“Laya, say it please!”
“You never said it!”
“I proposed you now! Can’t you see it woman?”
“But those three words?” she rolled her eyes.
“Damn, you both are neck and neck in pulling each other’s legs. I love you both, there I said it” said Pooja.
“You both were busy with this?” Laya questioned.
“Indeed yes. Your DCP is pathetic in romance. I made all these decorations myself by sitting in his home and I also mentioned it to him about your dream date, dream proposal, favorite flowers, and even helped him in picking a proper shirt. Offo”
“Pooja you are a sweetheart”.
They smiled and Pooja bid them a bye along with a big hug as she left.
To be continued…. If you have missed the prequels then do read it from here.
