“Hey Keshav, where are you?”
“Well, outside with friends. You?”
“Home. You don’t have any work today? You never hang out with anyone; you will be too busy to come even for a dinner with me.”
Isn’t it amazing that girls become mothers of their beloveds as soon as they fall in love with them? They question, interrogate, care, and argue.
“Yeah, but this is important. Okay, I just called to hear you voice. I will go.”
“Hmmm, I have been calling Pooja regarding a report she isn’t picking her call. I need it by tomorrow.”
“Oh, text her, she will see maybe.”
As Keshav disconnected the call, Pooja asked him, “What happened? What is she telling?”
“She is in home only. Safe for us. Why didn’t you pick her call?”
“Phone is in silent mode, I guess.”
“She might start suspecting. If she texts you, text her back.”
“Okay Mr. DCP.”
“Oh please, call me Keshav.”
She smiled as he sat next to her and little did Laya know they both had a trick up their sleeve.
